In Oldie But Goodie I’ll be looking at great gems in comics that some people may have heard about but never actually read. Some times they will be original graphic novels, other times they will be a run on a certain series and still other times it will be an entire finished series.
First up on Oldie But Goodie is Grant Morrison’s run on X-Men, which was re-titled New X-Men for his tenure. Morrison started his run a year after the first X-Men film was released and there are a few influences from the movie on the comic as a result. Two of the most obvious being the X-Men wearing leather outfits like their movie counterparts and the Xavier Institute being a full fledged school rather than a large building with under a hundred militarised mutants inside.
